Professor V.N. Parthiban

"nadamaadum university ( Mobile university)" is how we call him in our college days. He has about 108 degrees to his credit covering about every single divisions of learning. He would've stopped doing additional degrees if he was just looking for the number 100 but knowledge addition has been his dream all the way along. And his sincerity  and love for education only has been the fuel for such a holistic dream of him.
He is the one among the very few scholars in the country who has ten master of law degrees to his credit. He has completed professional courses like ICWA and ACS. He even have some diploma's in medicine and engineering. He has a great fan fare in our college ( RKM Vivekananda college, Mylapore).

Billa inspired from scarface?

Its pretty long since I've seen the film Scarface but when i saw billa 2 today, something was striking about these both films and its indubitable similarities.
After coming home i logged in and saw Scarface again and i couldn't help but notice that BILLA 2's first half is highly inspired from Scarface ( Only from my point of view. no offence intended).
To start, al pachi was a Cuban refugee who gets into a freedom camp where he kills a political prisoner to get into Don world and here Billa comes in as a sri lankan refugee and gets connected with "annnachi".
The scene where Billa returns the weed and money to his boss is the one that provoked this Holmes in me. In Scarface if you could see, al pachi would've escaped from a group of Colombians with the key and money.
In that scene al pachi would enter the room with only one of his associates while the other two would wait in the vehicle opposite  the apartment of those Colombians as we could see in billa.

Then the scene where al pachi travels with Omar to "Bolivia" to finalise a deal with Sosa to transport a cocaine shipment. Here the billa travels with kotty to the same Bolivia to finalise a arms deal with Dimitri. Both in Scarface and billa 2, al pachi and billa would finalise a deal without their respective boss's permission and spiting them. Omar will be killed by Sosa by accusing him to be an informer. Here the translator who accompanies Billa and kotty will be killed because of being an informer.
Because of the above spite frank ( boss of al pachi ) attempts to kill al pachi. Escaping from that al pachi kills all but one from the Frank's team only to take him in his rolls. In billa, David billa kills abassi and his associates and takes one of his security guards into his rolls. Also there are some minor similarities between the two movies like
  • David billa's sister scolding  billa for being a thug and asking him not to be associated with her daughter like al pachi's mom warning him to stay away from his sister Gina.
  • Al pachi would kick the shit out of the guy his sister is with in Scarface as billa kicks the guts of the guy his cousin is with.
I don't want to prove that they've copied or something but I'm just listing out some scenes that appears like abstract similarities between the two movies. To be frank Billa 2 is a highly entertaining Tamil movie which happens to be shot like a Hollywood movie. I really enjoyed watching the movie particularly the live stunts by Thala all over the movie. It takes big guts to do the stunts like, fighting as he hangs from a helicopter , sliding from a staircase ...all by himself. Hats off to him.

I'm very sorry if i had hurt the feelings of any fans and that was not intended.

How to use WIFI connection in government laptop

First thing after i got the laptop was to go through bunch of manuals in English and Tamil scouting information about the WIFI connectivity in the laptop given by the Tamilnadu government. First i saw info encouraging that there may be a internal wifi modem but to my disappointment i found out while using that there is no WIFI card in the laptop.
But always there are alternative ways that you could use to get back the net connection in your laptop.

1. You could get your laptop inserted with a WIFI card in any laptop servicing centre.
2. You could use data card connections from any of the mobile operators.
3.If you have net connection in your mobile , you could use PC suite for your mobile to get back net connection on your laptop.
4. You could use a DSL cable to connect modem and the laptop for using Internet in your laptop.
5. You could get an WIFI dongle which is available from rs. 350 to connect to Internet.
6. And guys, if you've got an android  phone you've struck gold. Ya. You could use your android device as a wifi modem that could forward the modulated WIFI signal back to your laptop and demodulate back the signal to the modem itself. Thereby you could use your existing WLAN connection for operating in a laptop.
For using this method you have to install an application called Easytether in your android device. Easytether is an free application available on the android market. After installing easy tether on your android device, you have to install another syncing software on your laptop. Then after you connect your android device to the laptop using an USB cable, you could easily get access to Internet connection on your laptop.

Friends, If you have any queries please comment...
